Fields in Plummer Additional, Photo by Travis Favretto

Situated within the Algoma District and nestled along the shores of Lake Huron, the Township of Plummer Additional offer access to a multiple of amenities. Surrounded by fresh water inland lakes and mixed coniferous/deciduous forests, the area presents ample opportunities for winter or summer activities. The area is home to many species of wildlife and magnificent geological formations, enhancing its natural beauty. Come join us for a day, a week or a lifetime and dig into the best pies and community suppers in the north.

The Township of Plummer Additional benefits from its advantageous position along the Highway 17 corridor. Highway 17 generates tourism and commercial activity for the Township and provides immediate access to larger communities.

The decline in mining and forestry activities has resulted in agriculture and farming as the prime component of the economic base for the Township. Currently there are approximately 45 farms operating in the area. The Township of Plummer Additional remains committed to preserving its rural heritage and maintaining this source of its economic base.Lastly, due to its rural nature, the Township depends on other urban centres for its major commercial and community services.

The Township of Plummer Additional works diligently to provide services and organizations for our residents and tourists. We seek to provide a quality of life beneficial to all our residents.
