Surrounded by fresh water inland lakes and mixed coniferous/deciduous forests, the area provides year-round tourism activities including camping, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, snowmobiling and photography. The area is home to many species of wildlife and magnificent geological formations, enhancing its natural beauty.

The decline in mining and forestry activities has resulted in agriculture and farming as the prime component of the economic base for the Township.  The Township of Plummer Additional remains committed to preserving its rural heritage and maintaining this source of its economic base.
