It can be frustrating when you encounter a road construction zone. Construction zones are implemented to allow for road work to be completed while keeping the safety of workers and drivers in mind.
The Township of Plummer Additional Roads crews are doing their best to make sure our roads are safe and well-maintained. They deserve to feel safe while doing their jobs and to be able to go home at the end of the day! Remember – every worker is someone’s parent, child, friend, neighbour or co-worker.
As you approach a work zone, please drive like one of your loved ones or a close friend works there. It is important to:
- Slow down as you approach workers and give them room to work.
- Remain attentive and respectful.
- Follow the rules at road work sites.
