1st point of Contact is the Municipality.

A Pre-Consultation Fee of $150 is to be paid prior to submitting any Planning applications.

  • The Pre- Consultation fee will give you access to the Township Planner (Chris Jones, Municipal Planning Services Ltd.) for advice prior to and during the application process.
  • If you choose to move forward with your application, the Pre-Consultation fee will be deducted from your Planning Application fee.

All fees to be paid in advance of service.

Administration cost i.e.: photocopies, emails, phone calls etc. will be charged back at the current municipal Administration fee with a minimum charge of $10 per 1/4 hour.

The Fees for services may include the following (but not limited to):

  • Review of application         
  • Review of entrance permits
  • Site visit
  • Referral requests and preparations
  • Planning Report
  • Engineering review
  • Giving notice to the public
  • Chief Building Official Inspections
  • Agency circulation
  • Algoma Public Health consultation
  • Consultation with 1st Nations as required
  • Registration of agreement
  • Public inquiries
  • Legal
  • Preparation of drafts and final amendments
  • Submission to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs as required
  • Public meeting(s)
  • Adoption
  • Administration
  • Notification of adoption
  • Monitor for completeness, conditions are met
  • Review of objections
  • Review of Transfers
  • Review Plan of Survey
  • Review of Acknowledgement and Direction
  • Amendments to Tax & Accounting Program where applicable
 
Refunds to Planning Application Fees (in accordance with By-Law 2020-11):
  • Up to 90% of the Total Fee

If an application has been submitted but no Planner functions have been performed.

  • Up to 50% of the Total Fee less $500.00

If a report has been prepared and/or other Administrative or Planning functions have been performed on an application that has not yet been considered by the Committee of Adjustment/Council.

  • $500 Non-Refundable Fee

A $500 non-refundable fee is applicable on all Planning related applications once it has been submitted to the Planner regardless of the status or outcome of the Application.

  • No Refund

If the application and report(s) have been considered by the Committee of Adjustment/Council, and/or; if Council has passed an implementing By-Law and/or approved a Notice of Decision.
