Notice for Public Hearing of Consent and Zoning By-law Amendment

TAKE NOTICE that an application to the Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Plummer Additional has been submitted for provisional consent to sever one lot into two parcels, pursuant to section 53 of the Planning Act, c.P.13, R.S.O. 1990, as amended, for lands being legally described as CON 4 LOT 6 SPT, Roll # 5719-000-002-06900.
The purpose of the consent application is to sever the property located at 304 West Rd in the Township of Plummer Additional. The proposed severance will divide the existing property of approximately 63.82 hectares into two parcels: the retained parcel ~62.18 hectares in size, and one severed/created lot ~1.64 hectares in size. A location map and severance sketch are enclosed (“Key Map”).
The purpose of the zoning by-law amendment is to change the zoning of the severed parcel from Mineral Extraction (MX) zone to Agriculture (A) in order to allow the current uses of the proposed severed parcel to continue upon approval of the consent application.
The Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Plummer Additional has appointed Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Municipal Office, 38 Railway Crescent, Bruce Mines, Ontario, for the purpose of a Public Hearing in this matter. The purpose of this meeting is to ensure that sufficient information is made available to enable the public to generally understand the applicants’ proposed Consent.
Any person may make a submission in support of, in opposition to, or ask a question regarding the proposed Consent. Written submissions are recommended and can be made to the Committee of Adjustment by email, regular post or delivered to the Municipal Office. Please ensure all written submissions include your name, address and the application number, B2-2026 and/or A1-2026.
If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Committee of Adjustment in respect of the proposed application, you must make a written request to the Township of Plummer Additional Committee of Adjustment by email, regular post or in person at the Municipal Building.
If a specified person or public body that files an appeal of a decision of the Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Plummer Additional in respect of the proposed consent does not make written submission to the Committee of Adjustment for the Township of Plummer Additional before it gives or refuses to give a provisional consent, the Ontario Land Tribunal may dismiss the appeal.
