Recycling Depots
The Township would like to inform you about upcoming changes to the waste management services in your area. Starting January 26, 2026, the province will be introducing recycling bins to allow residents who don’t have curbside pick up to participate in the recycling program.
Finlayson Road:
- Two new recycling bins will be added, bringing the total number of bins at this location to five.
Aho Road:
- Unfortunately, due to space limitations, recycling bins cannot be added at this location. Recycling services for Aho Road area residents will be available at the landfill.
To access recycling at the landfill, all residents who use the garbage depots will be issued a blue card, similar to the green card used for the garbage disposal. Please keep this card handy, as it will be required for entry and use of the recycling at the landfill.
On Finlayson Rd, this program will operate on a trial basis for six months. During this period, the bins will be monitored by the contractors who are removing them, to ensure proper use. However, we are aware that some bins are being used by non-residents. Please note that the Township does not have the ability to monitor individual use.
It is essential that all materials placed in the recycling bins are appropriate. If bins become contaminated with non-recyclable materials, the Township will have no option but to move all recycling bins to the landfill. The responsibility for proper use of these bins lies with the residents.

We appreciate your cooperation and commitment to responsible recycling. By working together, we can ensure this trial program benefits the entire community.
