Private Wells – Drinking Water

Algoma Public Health strongly recommends that all private home owners test their well water 3 to 4 times per year to ensure that the water is safe for consumption.

Water sampling bottles can be obtained at:

  • the Township of Plummer Additional Municipal Office, 38 Railway Crescent, Bruce Mines
  • the Sault Ste. Marie Public Health Lab, 160 McDougald Street, Sault Ste. Marie
  • any Algoma Public Health office

APH Well Water-Drinking Water Testing

  • The Township of Plummer Additional Municipal Office will be closed on Tuesday, November 11th in observance of Remembrance Day.

Regular office hours will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
